No. You can start with just polymer clay and simple tools from home.  A large block of polymer clay costs around $25 and is enough for about 5–6 monsters, depending on their size. For your first monster, you can use a pencil and a butter knife. A basic sculpting tool set starts at around $10.  A small paint set also starts at around $10. UV resin for slime and drool effects costs around $10, but it is optional. Most materials can be used again for many more monsters.  So you can start sculpting for around $25, or get a basic setup with clay and tools for around $35. You do not need the exact brands I use, and my Starter Guide shows you what you need and what can wait until later.

Yes! I made this for complete beginners. I show you every step in short, simple videos and explain the process in an easy way based on over 8 years of experience. Many students have already made their first monster with no experience at all.

The burger monster can take longer depending on your own pace, but the videos are short and you can pause whenever you need to. With lifetime access, there is no pressure or deadline.
